We were awakened the next morning to find that all of our gear had been neatly packed on our boat. Martin was standing on board with a pipe in his mouth and grinning from ear to ear. He almost looked insane. He told us that he was going to join us on our journey to the Forbidden Islands. The last time he was there, his crew had gone missing -- Gene, Richard, Les, Aurthur, Ted and Robert were part of the crew that had vanished. He failed to mention this the night before thinking that we would change our minds. We set off towards the Forbidden Islands. Martin passed his pipe around. We got faded. I put on some of my tunes as we drifted along. Cal says to me, “Now, that’s The Real Stuff.” Martin says, “Very very groovy.”
